From April 27 to May 1 the cream of the crop of ESM (Enterprise Service Management) was in San Francisco for the annual ServiceNow forum: Knowledge 14.
For this occasion, Devoteam was strongly represented among the 6,000 people with no less than 10 participants from our offices in France, UK, Denmark, Switzerland or Germany.
  • Furthermore, this year Devoteam has been presented as “Exhibitor Sponsor” of Knowledge 14 to strengthen our partnership with ServiceNow since we are already "Preferred Solutions Partner" and "Preferred Services Partner."

  • The hackathon: how to demonstrate the power of the ServiceNow platform

    Appart from Sebastien Chevrel (see article), COO Devoteam Group, the Devoteam delegation was particularly technical to attend and participate to the ServiceNow pretraining sessions and technical labs.
    The Dev-H-Team led by Markus Schär (see interview) (Switzerland), David Legrand (Denmark), Yves Lavalette (France) and Jürgen Werkmann (Germany) and reinforced by Michael Rotbøll Sjøgreen, Architect & Change Manager at Saxo Bank - a Devoteam Denmark client - took part in the Hackathon, a team development competition on CreateNow (although non-competitive as we are ServiceNow partner).

  • After 8 hours of competition, our team was able to deliver an application dedicated to the Fifa World Cup in Brazil, whose main characteristics are monitoring matches and a system of sports betting.

    This represent a significant performance and a double demonstration: firstly ServiceNow platform enables a quick deployment of complex, innovative and "scalable" applications, then Devoteam teams have the skills to make that happen.

    The sponsorship also allowed our representatives to attend the various keynotes and learn more about the future ServiceNow strategic issues and developments. This confirms that the future of ServiceNow remains more than ever in line with our motto: “Connecting Business & Technology”.

    Getting to know the platform even better and the way it will evolve in the coming years is essential to advise and help our clients embrace IT Service Excellence as part of their IT transformation journey.

    Finally, Devoteam was also present on the forum with a dedicated booth and our representatives had the great opportunity to exchange thoughts, challenges and expectations in the field of ESM and IT Service Management with other partners, clients and the ServiceNow team.

    Years after years the ServiceNow forum is getting bigger and bigger…  See you in Las Vegas next year from 19 to 23 April 2015 for the next big ESM event, simply titled “Knowledge 15”!
